The project consists of 4 new residential buildings and "The Mandarin Oriental Hotel" building in reconstructed mansions between Bolotnaya Square and Sofiyskaya Embankment. The exclusive combination of luxury concept and professionalism in construction has created a landmark project that cannot be repeated. On the territory of Bolotny Island there is a residential area with 137 residences, 109 apartments, 23 maisonettes and 5 penthouses.
The sliding light is an ideal solution for facades with rich textures. The linear facade luminaires RADUGA™ LUMEN have convenient mounting brackets that allow to direct the light flux at exactly the desired angle to the illuminated surface. This creates a uniform illumination that favorably highlights the texture of modern facing materials and the finishing pattern.
Especially for this project, we developed protective covers with grilles that eliminate stray light and light entering the windows. This is important for apartments in a gated residential area, whose residents especially value privacy.
The head of the design department says: “All electrical communications had to be hidden and made invisible to the eye. Moreover, the light modules of the luminaires also needed to be hidden. From any vantage point - from a neighboring building, from the territory or from apartment windows - light sources should not be visible, as if there were no luminaires at all.
We developed this solution for a long time: we identified viewpoints, calculated the viewing angle and the distance to each lamp. These calculations made it possible to identify the necessary and sufficient height of the future casing structure, its geometry and material. Our specialists made the first lamp manually using 3D printer technology, and only after that they reproduced it in full size. The result is a special product that has no analogues.”
In total, about two kilometers of lighting equipment were supplied for the facility, flooding the walls and cornices of the buildings of the residential area with sliding monochrome light. Each luminaire is equipped with a protective and decorative casing, which allows to maintain a uniform light flux and highlight each wall, balcony and element of unique architecture. The light source itself remains invisible and does not illuminate the windows of the apartments.
The architectural lighting project was developed by "Svet Expert" company.
