The Kashirsky Bridge is one of the most important crossings across the Oka River in the Moscow region. The structure was erected in the 60s of the last century and since then has never been overhauled. At the end of last year, the modernization was completed, which lasted more than two years. The bridge was actually rebuilt. And the architectural lighting of the supports and spans with RADUGA™ lamps creates a new look for the bridge at night.
The lighting of supports and spans is a prerequisite for river crossings. It ensures the safe movement of river transport. Stria linear luminaires are installed along the lower floors of the Kashirsky Bridge, indicating the structure of the overpass along its entire length - more than 600 meters. The equipment is designed to operate in conditions of high humidity and vibration.
The Apex spotlights illuminate posts and support foundations. This compact and powerful solution is efficient and easy to install. The floodlight can be mounted horizontally or vertically in any orientation and is available with a wide selection of secondary optics.
In total, more than a thousand luminaires were installed on the spans, which highlight the architectural features of the bridge and help create conditions for the safe movement of vehicles and pedestrians.
“We understand the importance of the bridge for residents of the urban districts of Kashira and Stupino... Thanks to the support of the president and federal budget funds, safe and high-quality passage across the river has been ensured, the roadway has been expanded, and new lighting has been installed,” the governor of the Moscow region noted in a press release about the opening of the bridge Andrey Vorobiev.
The project was implemented jointly with the company "Svet Expert", the LED equipment is from the Russian manufacturer "Technology of Light" LLC.
